California Teen Driving Safety Week
Yesterday, California Teen Driving Safety week started. This statewide effort is aimed at raising awareness of the dangers of unsafe driving and curtailing teenage deaths that are the result of motor vehicle accidents every year.
Impact Teen Drivers has also launched its campaign this week throughout California’s high schools. This program is a fantastic educational platform that will educate teens about the perils of dangerous driving. 40% of all teen deaths in California are a result of a motor vehicle accident. In addition, 77% of all motor vehicle accidents are caused by the beginning driver.
The American Automobile Association conducted a study which found that in motor vehicle accidents involving drivers between the ages of 15 – 17, there were 177 fatalities and 27,869 injuries.
California Teen Driving Safety Week will run through April 20th.
