Pedestrian accidents in Las Vegas: what to know
Nevada recorded 111 pedestrian deaths in 2025, according to state data reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Most happen in Clark County. Wide, fast roads, crowds of visitors on the Strip, and people walking at night all add risk.
Nevada rules that shape your case
- Shared fault. Nevada reduces your compensation by your share of the blame. If your share is greater than the share of the people you are suing, you recover nothing. Insurers often blame pedestrians. The evidence decides.
- Your own insurance can help. If the driver fled or has little insurance, your own uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage may pay, even though you were on foot.
