In California, clicking paid advertising (PPC) without the intention of using the product or services and with the intention of increasing the cost to the advertiser (whether you are a competitor or marketing company) is a felony.
WHAT IS CLICK FRAUD?
Our law firm takes click fraud seriously and will fully prosecute individuals and entities. Click fraud is when an individual or group of individuals (competitors, marketing companies etc.) click on paid advertising without having any intention of ever using the services or products of the advertiser. The sole purpose of click fraud is to increase the cost for the advertiser.

Your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address has been recorded, your location has been recorded, the times and ads you’ve click repeatedly have been recorded.

An IP address is like a license plate. It is a unique identifier that every computer has.
WHAT DOES AN IP ADDRESS REVEAL?
Your exact physical address (and ultimately identity) can be traced.
WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH MY DATA?
We will be prosecuting individuals, competitors, companies and groups. If you are a competitor, we will be taking further action by reporting you to the State Bar. This is a felony.
