Cheryl Culver, 67, Dies in Reckless Driver, Truck Accident
Following a fatal crash in St. Clair County, the driver of the truck responsible for the accident is being charged with reckless homicide.
47-year-old Orlando Luke of Augusta, Georgia was driving his semi-truck down East Highway 50 when he collided with four other vehicles in the Metro East’s 8600 block. At this time, Mr. Luke is being held at the St. Clair County Jail, with bond set at $250,000.
67-year-old Cheryl Culver of Summerfield, Illinois was one of the occupants of a vehicle involved in the collision. Ms. Culver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident is still under investigation. Investigative efforts are being shared between the O’Fallon Police Department, Illinois State Police Crash Reconstruction Team, and the Metro East Crassh Assistance Team.
