Overview
Emma Smoler is a dedicated litigator with extensive experience in both civil and criminal litigation. She has been practicing since 2010 and is admitted to the Illinois Bar, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois, the District of Colorado, and the Southern District of Michigan.
Emma earned her undergraduate degree from Loyola University Chicago and her law degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She began her legal career in personal injury law, advocating for injured clients and fighting for their rights. She then served as a felony prosecutor with the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office, where she gained invaluable courtroom experience handling serious criminal cases. Now, she has returned to personal injury law, bringing her litigation expertise and trial experience to aggressively represent victims of negligence.
Emma is an active member of the legal community, with memberships in the Chicago Bar Association, the Lake County Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. She is also committed to mentorship and public service, serving as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chicago. Her dedication to public interest law was recognized with the University of Illinois at Chicago Public Interest Grant.
Fluent in both Spanish and English, Emma is passionate about providing strong, compassionate representation to a diverse range of clients. Outside of work, she enjoys distance running, music, and spending time with her two teenagers.
