Tragic news came out of Illinois this morning when a van that was heading eastbound about four miles west of Vandalia crossed over into the median, then crossed back over eastbound I-70, and rolled several times south of the highway. Five people are dead and six injured as a result of the car accident.

Motorcycle Accident Injures Two on Weber Road and Taylor Road
Wade Mano was driving his Harley-Davidson motorcycle when it crashed with an Isuzu Rodeo last night near Weber and Taylor roads. Following the motorcycle accident, Mr. Mano was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove and is reportedly in critical condition. His passenger, Dorothy Taylor, was transported to Loyola Medical Center in Maywood and reported to be in stable condition.

MOTORCYCLE CRASH CLAIMS LIVES OF KANE COUPLE
Henry and Jennifer Rethorn, a married couple from Kane, Illinois, died tragically when the Harley Davidson they were riding on was struck from behind when the driver of a Dodge Ram failed to stop at a traffic light at Kane Road on US 67 southbound. The Rethorns were both thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

An 11-month-old girl was ejected from an SUV when a semi-trailer truck heading north on Dearborn Street ran a red light and struck the SUV on Ohio Street. Apparently, the child was not strapped into a child seat and was being held in the back seat by a passenger of the SUV. The child is reportedly in stable condition at Lurie Children’s Hospital.
