Every client deserves a lawyer who listens, explains and prepares. Justice means a fair result for the person who was hurt, and accountability for the people who caused the harm.
Matthew Dos Santos brings a background in plaintiff-side personal injury work and a strong foundation in trial advocacy to his work on behalf of injured individuals and their families. He understands that a serious injury can affect far more than a person’s physical health—it can disrupt their livelihood, family life, and sense of security. His approach centers on listening to clients, understanding their concerns, and helping them navigate the legal process with clarity and confidence.
Matthew earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from California State University, Fullerton. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Western State College of Law, graduating tenth in his class. He received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Civil Procedure II, Advanced Trial Advocacy, and Civil Trial Practice, along with the Maryann Jones Achievement and Leadership Award.
During law school, Matthew developed his advocacy skills through mock trial and moot court competitions. At the Syracuse National Trial Competition, he received student advocacy awards for Best Closing Argument and Best Advocate for the Final Round, helping his team finish as a finalist. He also served as vice president of both the Mock Trial Society and the Student Bar Association.
Matthew is passionate about helping injured plaintiffs seek accountability and fair compensation. He first joined TORKLAW in 2020 as a legal assistant and later returned as a summer law clerk, gaining hands-on experience supporting clients in personal injury matters.
Matthew believes clients deserve both diligent advocacy and a genuine connection with the people handling their case. He values clear communication, keeping clients informed, and taking the time to address their questions. He approaches each case with careful preparation and personal attention, guided by the client’s individual circumstances and goals.
Outside of work, Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife, his family, and his dog, Kenzo.
