Liability For Brea Car Accidents

Head-on collisions are among the most dangerous types of collisions that a person can be involved in. They account for only around 2% of all collisions but over 10% of all traffic fatalities. Many of these collisions are due to speeding. According to the NHTSA, “For more than two decades, speeding has been involved in approximately one-third of all motor vehicle fatalities. In 2020, speeding was a contributing factor in 29% of all traffic fatalities.” There are many other factors that could contribute to a car accident.

  • Distracted driving
  • Dangerous turns
  • Vehicle system failures
  • Driver intoxication

All drivers have a legal obligation to use caution to avoid causing accidents. When a driver enters into opposing lanes of traffic, this could form the basis of a negligence claim. The family of any person that died in a car accident may have legal recourse through a wrongful death claim. A wrongful death attorney can examine all of the unique facts of your case and let you know what your legal options are.
