Woman Injured In An Attempt To Rescue Pet From El Cajon Fire
Unknown factors sparked a two-alarm fire at an East County house on Friday, where an elderly homeowner received minor burn injuries. The woman, owner of the house, escaped the flames but also became a victim of burn injuries while attempting to save her pet Chihuahua. The injured woman was accompanied by her 53-year-old daughter, who also escaped to El Cajon home, though unlike her mother she was uninjured. The woman homeowner was transported to a Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa to receive treatment for her burn injuries. According to reports, the El Cajon home also suffered massive property damage during the fire.
