Fullerton Fire Displaces 9 Residents

Firefighters were dispatched to a Fullerton apartment complex after a 1:35 a.m. call about a fire in progress.  The fire destroyed one unit and displaced 9 residents who lived there.  The apartment fire, which was located at 2001 N. Deerpark Dr., did not culminate in injuries although many residents had to find temporary housing. An official claimed that at least two people will be displaced long term.

Fire authorities believe that the fire started in one of the bedrooms and estimate the subsequent damage to be $40,000 to the actual building and roughly $20,000 in actual contents for a combination of $60,000. The actual cause of the fire is under investigation.
