13-Year-Old Aurora Boy Seriously Injured In Hit and Run Crash
Last week, a 13-year-old boy was crossing Talma Street at 5th Avenue at approximately 5:00 p.m. this afternoon, when he was struck by a dark colored Nissan SUV traveling eastbound on 5th. The SUV, driven by an unidentified woman, did not stop to help the seriously injured child and instead fled the scene of this serious pedestrian accident.
Aurora Fire Department paramedics transported the seriously injured boy to Rush-Copley Medical Center, where he was then airlifted to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood. The young hit-and-run accident victim suffering from serious head trauma and is reportedly in critical condition.
