UPDATE: TorkLaw’s First Annual Tomorrow’s Future Event Recap
TorkLaw will be collecting and donating gift packages to underprivileged students on December 16, 2016
Tomorrow’s Future, founded and sponsored by The Torkzadeh Law firm will be handing out gifts to 30 underprivileged children and their families at the La Habra School District on Friday December 16, 2016. The students range from Kindergarten to the 8th grade and their families will be invited to attend the event and share in the giveaway.
TorkLaw Partner and co-founder of Tomorrow’s Future, Korosh Torkzadeh says, “To me, the holidays are about kindness and community. This is how my brother and I were raised; my father taught us that the greatest gift of all, is the gift of giving to those that need it the most. Many of the kids come from very little and these will be the only gifts they see this Christmas, or from Christmas’s past. I became an attorney to fight injustice, and there is no greater injustice than allowing these kids to celebrate Christmas empty handed.”
If you would like to help or donate to these families, please contact us or call (888) 845-9696. We are accepting gifts, school supplies, grocery gift cards, or anything that would be helpful to these families.
Tomorrow’s Future provides underprivileged students and their families with packages including food, grocery gift cards, clothes, school supplies and other items that have been generously donated to the program through the various business and leaders in the community.
Today, 1 in 4 children live in poverty in California (23.2%) according to the Public Policy Institute of California. These kids come from the poorest of means where often times, they don’t have a place to sleep other than the family car.
